Court of Protection
Hilary Hughes is a panel Deputy of the Court of Protection and has acted as Deputy (Receiver) for many clients over 20 years. She has wide ranging experience of dealing with the Court of Protection and issues that affect people who have lost mental capacity or who have learning disabilities.
As in other areas of her work her genuine care for her clients is a fundamental prerequisite for this type of work.
The services we offer in this area include:
- Obtaining Orders from the court, for example to authorise gifts for inheritance tax planning.
- Making of Statutory Wills for clients who do not have mental capacity
- Dealing with clients property issues
- Ongoing management of financial affairs and filing accounts and tax returns
