Older Client Matters
For many of our elderly clients we are trusted friends – having acted for them in many cases for 10 or 20 years or longer.
We tailor the services we provide to their particular needs but this frequently includes:
- Dealing with day to day financial management
- Working with our client’s accountants and tax and investment advisors
- Giving specialist advice to clients where they are considering buying a house or a share of a house with other family members
- Help with Social Service Assessments
- Preparation of tax returns
- Liaising with care providers to ensure care needs are properly met
- Working closely with the family
- Providing information and reassurance to children and other family members who live abroad or a long distance away
Hilary Hughes has been a member of the Solicitors for the Elderly since its formation many years ago and writes for Bloomsbury Publishing. Pat Sands is also a member of the Solicitors for the Elderly. Richard Penticost has looked after the legal affairs of a wide range of elderly clients in the Heathfield, Mayfield and Tunbridge Wells areas for over 20 years.
